Cornwell Manor Summer Wedding Film | Raina & Ben's Cotswolds Wedding

Raina and Ben wedding film at Cornwell Manor, Cotswolds

Cornwell Manor is a private estate near Chipping Norton in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds and one of the most popular luxury wedding venues in the region. This is the story of Raina and Ben’s summer wedding there — filmed on the longest day of the year — and a look at what makes Cornwell such a special place to get married.

What is a summer wedding like at Cornwell Manor?

A summer wedding at Cornwell Manor is something special. The estate sits in a quiet Cotswolds valley with honey-stone buildings, beautiful gardens, and golden light that seems to last forever — especially on the longest day of the year, when Raina and Ben got married. The venue has the feel of getting married abroad while being firmly in the English countryside. You get exclusive use of the estate, which means no rushed timings and a day that unfolds at your own pace. Raina and Ben’s reception moved naturally from champagne in the sun, to a seated dinner, to dancing late into the warm summer evening.

What churches are near Cornwell Manor for a wedding ceremony?

Raina and Ben’s ceremony was held at All Saints Church in Churchill, a short drive from Cornwell Manor. It’s a beautiful Oxfordshire village church with real character — stone walls, great acoustics, and enough space for a large congregation. For Raina and Ben, the church came alive with a 28-person Welsh Male Voice Choir, filling the building with sound and adding a powerful emotional layer to the ceremony. After the service, guests drove the short distance back to Cornwell for the drinks reception.

What does a typical wedding day look like at Cornwell Manor?

Raina got ready at the Manor itself, while Ben and the groomsmen prepared at Woodman Cottage on the Cornwell Estate. The ceremony was held at All Saints Church in Churchill, followed by the reception back at Cornwell Manor. The day included a drinks reception in the grounds, a seated wedding breakfast, speeches, and an evening party. Raina changed into her evening outfit — a redesigned version of her mother’s wedding dress by Emma Beaumont — which was a beautiful, meaningful detail. A choreographed father-daughter dance was one of the highlights, getting the whole room on their feet.

How does Cornwell Manor compare to other Cotswolds wedding venues?

Raina and Ben visited seven venues before choosing Cornwell — and kept comparing everything back to it. The exclusive-use model, the quality of the grounds, the privacy, and the feeling of being somewhere truly special set it apart. Raina’s parents live in Oxfordshire, so the Cotswolds was a natural choice, and Cornwell gave them exactly what they wanted: a classic, formal ceremony in a village church, followed by champagne, good food, and a massive party in a stunning setting.

How many guests can Cornwell Manor accommodate?

Raina and Ben hosted 130 guests. The estate offers flexible indoor and outdoor spaces that work well for weddings of this size, with accommodation available on-site for the wedding party and close family.

Raina and Ben’s Story

Raina and Ben’s story started with a slow burn. They first crossed paths when Ben visited Raina’s university to do a recruitment talk for his law firm. Nothing happened. The following year, Raina did a vacation scheme at the same firm and they went for a coffee — but they were both with other people. Raina followed Ben on Instagram, and a couple of years later, in the middle of the pandemic, Ben responded to one of her stories. They’re both lawyers now, at different firms, and Ben proposed on the day they got the keys to their first house together in Putney.

They described themselves in one word as team. They wanted a classic, formal ceremony that was moving and beautiful, followed by lots of champagne in the sun and a massive party. That’s exactly what they got — and on the longest day of the year, they used every golden minute of it.
