Arran Kenny
Arran Kenny · Dorset

I'm Arran Kenny, and I'm a wedding filmmaker.

I specialise in making cinematic, emotive wedding films in a discreet and natural way, catering to high-end clients and luxury weddings.

I want to help you achieve success in your wedding filmmaking business so that you can film the weddings you want, at the price you want.

Since shooting my first wedding for £250 in 2017, I've worked hard to learn cinematic principles and improve my craft, allowing me to increase my prices to an average of £5000 per wedding. In 2019, I won the FilmConvert award for Best Wedding Film, and was awarded Best Film in the Make Better Wedding Films 2021 competition.

Testimonials

"I signed up for Arran's 3 month mentoring program over the winter period. Arran was generous with both his time and his knowledge, no gate keeping. Being able, over the course of the 3 months, to review my own films, in great depth – compare them to Arran's at times and approach Filmmaking from both the technical viewpoint and also the emotional aspect of wedding films. We were able to cover everything from on-the-day shooting, editing and sound design, colour grading, structure and pacing, and even overall business approach and the client journey. I finished the mentoring period ready to approach the upcoming season with confidence and intent."

"There aren't enough good words to say about Arran's mentoring. He has mentored me since I first picked up a camera and I owe the speed of my business's success to him entirely. Arran's mentoring has improved my technical skills, storytelling and confidence, fast-tracking me to where I am now. What I value most is that he hasn't tried to create a smaller version of himself. Instead, he took the time and care to recognise my strengths and encouraged me to lean into those, helping me develop a filmmaking style that feels authentic and entirely my own. I owe him a lot."

Colour Grading

Signature LUT 2026

The LUT I have been using on my films since May 2025, across real weddings, real lighting and real delivery timelines. A filmic, restrained base that prioritises skin tones and tonal separation, with richer, truer colour than the version before it.

Colour Grading

Signature LUT (Legacy)

Warm tones and richness in both shadows and highlights, for Sony LOG footage. Daytime and Nighttime for Slog3 on the A7S3, plus Drone for D-Log-M on the Mavic 2 Pro. The Rec709 conversion is built in, so apply it straight to LOG.

WedFilmMentor

Free to use

Years of my mentoring notes, turned into something you can ask questions of. Think ChatGPT, except trained entirely on what I have actually told the filmmakers I have coached.

Ask it where to put your cameras during a church ceremony and it answers the way I would have answered a mentoring client. Ask it anything else too: pricing, client comms, shooting, building a brand, difficult couples, editing workflow. It might not have every answer, but where it does, it is mine rather than the internet's.

Open WedFilmMentor

  • Ask it anything you would ask me in a session, and get the answer I would have given
  • Trained on my own mentoring notes, not on scraped forum advice
  • Free to use. You will need to leave an email address, but there is nothing to pay
  • It costs me money every time someone uses it, so that may change eventually. For now, go wild

Are you visible when couples ask AI?

Couples have started asking ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity to recommend suppliers, and those tools do not read your website the way Google does. Most filmmakers have no idea whether they get mentioned or not.

WedSearch gives you a single visibility score, shows you which engines mention you and which send couples elsewhere, tells you who is being recommended alongside you, and tracks whether you are gaining ground week by week. Every scan comes with specific things to change. I built it for exactly this problem, and I use it on my own business every week.
