The Venue: Elmore Court
With its stunning architecture, elegant interiors, and sprawling grounds, Elmore Court offers a truly unforgettable setting for any wedding. “We fell in love with Elmore Court the moment we saw it,” said Hannah. “It’s the perfect combination of historic and contemporary, and the grounds are absolutely beautiful.”
Their Story
Hannah and Jake met at university, where they were astounded by how much they had in common. They felt an instant connection that led to them becoming great friends. After a few years of friendship, things changed when Hannah, along with her mum, were passing through Oxford where Jake was living with his parents. They agreed to meet: “I remember it all so vividly; it was a gorgeous, balmy summers day, everything had a golden hue to it. After weaving and winding through the historic streets together, we took a boat out on the River Cherwell and bobbed about in the sun chatting the day away. Afterwards, Jake invited my Mum and I round to his parent’s house where we met them for the first time. We all sat out on the patio laughing, drinking and eating until the early hours of the next morning. It was as if I’d known them my whole life. Jake and I started that day as friends, and the rest is history!”
The Wedding Day

After getting ready in the beautiful bridal suite, Hannah walked down the aisle, accompanied by her father, to meet a beaming Jake. Their humanist ceremony was personal and poignant, with tears, cheers, and lots of laughter. Guests enjoyed a drinks reception in the grounds, before entering the Gillyflower – Elmore Court’s unique, sustainably built ballroom for an incredible party.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes Elmore Court a good venue for wedding films?
Elmore Court combines a historic country house exterior with a sustainably built modern ballroom — the Gillyflower — which creates a striking visual contrast ideal for storytelling. The grounds, interiors, and the Gillyflower’s distinctive character give any wedding film a strong sense of place and variety across the day.
Do you film at Elmore Court regularly?
Yes. Elmore Court is one of the Cotswolds venues I know well and have filmed at on several occasions. Familiarity with the venue means I can anticipate how the day unfolds, where the best natural light is at each stage, and how to work unobtrusively within the team of suppliers.
Is Elmore Court suitable for a humanist ceremony?
Elmore Court works particularly well for humanist ceremonies. The flexibility of the space allows couples to design something genuinely personal, and ceremonies there tend to be warm, emotional, and full of character — which makes them rewarding to film.
